Ahh you guyssss!  It is so nice to flash back to my time in Portugal two weeks ago!  I had three days to explore in and around Lisbon before I picked up a rental car and drove down the coast.  As I was landing in Lisbon I realized that two fellow DMV’ers were in Lisbon the same time I was so we naturally connected and made things happen while we were both planted in town.  Juliette, Dan and I are all from the DMV and our travel obsessions brought us all to the same city at the same time, what are the odds of that?  I was super pumped to get together with them and explore some of the Alfama district while we made our way to dinner at the Time Out market.  Best place ever that Ill have to tell you more about on my Portugal blog.  Anyhoo, these guys are troopers because we started at the top of the hill and if you know anything about Lisbon, there are a lot of steps you have to walk up to get there.  Funny little side note,  my girl Juliette is a fun little yogi, teacher, adventure connoisseur extraordinaire! Lisboa is definitely a new favorite.  I love colorful cities and Lisbon has no shortage of color or charm . The buildings here are covered in azulejos which are beautiful colorful tiles.  Its very common in Portugese and Spanish architecture.  I was slightly obsessed.   The overlooks of the city are stunning, every. where. you. turn.  Besides the super sketchy walk these two said they made up the hill haha.  We met at one of the prettiest overlooks of the city, Miradouro da Graca.  Highly recommend grabbing a beer and enjoying those views here!  These two made snuggling around a crowded city look wayyyy too easy! We wandered around semi empty streets, stopped along the way to take in the views, chatted about life and travel and then stuffed some delicious sandwiches in our mouths before ending our evening with some slightly delicious ginjinha shots in little ole chocolate cups. The shot was good, the chocolate cup…not so much haha!  All in all, I am obsessed with these two, their snuggles and smiles and am happily now stalking their lives via social media. ha.
