What a way to throw a wedding. Bryan + Erin celebrated their marriage at one of the prettiest places they ever did see in Upstate New York, Thousand Islands! So they snagged St. Elmo Island, their very own private island, for their stunner of an intimate destination wedding. Intimate weddings are seriously becoming a favorite of mine. I love the small, enclosed group of only your closest family and friends and the intimacy of getting to genuinely interact with each and every one of them.
I arrived at Erins parents airbnb on the mainland in Alexandria Bay waiting for my boat to chauffeur me to the island. I felt like royalty. Bryan picked me up, I get to the island and the men carried my bags up to the main house. I could get used to that kind of treatment, let me just tell ya. Erin was with her girls (which you may recognize because I photographed all of their weddings and will be photographing Megan + Aarons next year, but thats beside the point). They were finishing getting dolled up by none other than Jenn Beevs herself, so I got right to work playing around with all the goodies Erin had. Marble and neutral perfection!
One thing we all learned about this neck of the woods is that they don’t have air conditioning so we were all a bit hot but thankfully outside was PER-FECTION thanks to the wind. Another thing we learned, the great lakes released water so the water levels were a lot higher than usual and the bugs here are…vicious haha. Thankful that Erin + Bryan supplied plenty of bug spray to help us. Their boat also kicked it the morning of the wedding. The boat they purchased and fixed up just for the big day. You would think with that major blow ( this pontoon was how all of the guests would make it to the island ) that it would have ruined the day but Bryan and his buddy Kyle pulled through with a pontoon rental and the day went beautifully from there on out… even when a few of the guys had to chase after the boat because they forgot to tie it off haha! So many hilarious memories from this day that I’ll never forget.
I had way too many favorites from their day. I realized I took about 50 images of their pup, Thumper alone. AND YOU’LL SEE WHY BECAUSE HES THE CUTEST PUP EVER. BOW TIE AND ALL! But thats enough rambles from me. Now sit back, relax and enjoy these two cutie patooties!
Shoutout to everyone who helped bring the day together
