This day was a long time coming!  Chip, Michelle and I chatted about their engagements and the moment they told me about their love of Assateague and that thats where Chip popped the question, I knew thats exactly where we should have their engagement celebration!  I just so happened to already be towards that neck of the woods from a wedding the day before so the timing just so happened to be perfect as well!  We had a very chilly weekend but the light was soft with a gloomy overcast and the winds had died down from the day before.

We hopped in the back of Chips truck, let out some air and drove right onto the seashore for their session!   It was the first time I had ever driven on a beach, I didn’t even know you could drive onto assateague!  It was perfection!  We had the beach pretty much to ourselves!  After lots of beach snuggles, we were on the hunt for the iconic assateague wild ponies!  No engagement on Assateague is complete with out these majestic beauties!  Its funny because the dang near posed directly behind where I had Chip and Michelle set.  After chasing the ponies, we chased the sun for the last little bit of light on the island.  It was a perfect end to a beautiful session!  Lots of favorites of these two and I cannot wait for their summer wedding next year!
