The highlight of the trip and now in my top 10 favorite experiences! Lower Antelope Canyon. It was INCREDIBLE! The time of year we went was perfect! We arrived early and were able to head into the canyon earlier AND only two other people were in our group with us! We dang near had that entire part of the canyon to our selves! Only downfall was our tour guide. I booked with one of the two companies that offer tours down the Lower canyon and while the canyon was incredible, our tour guide was more concerned about rushing us through so we didn’t get to fully experience and take in everything. I have a few other negatives but I’ll leave them to myself for now. Either way, rushed or not rushed, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I’ve had many dreams of seeing these canyons and I am itching to get my butt back out there and see the Upper canyon!
IT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE SIGHT!
I want to experience the canyons at different times of the day so I can experience all of the colors of the canyon.
We had REALLY QUICK photo ops here and there.
As I said earlier, there were only two other people in our group with us so, naturally, I offered to take their photo for them. They were so quiet and sweet.
Majority of your time is spent looking straight up. The way the erosion over all the years has shaped the canyon. Its mind blowing.
Our guide gave us a little history on the canyon. She let us know how the Navajo natives would use the canyon to hide from settlers. As you walk along, you cannot really tell that there is a canyon 60ft below the surface.
