Its graduation season around here you guys and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph THREE gorgeous senior girls in the last two weeks alone! Late last week, I ventured down to Fredericksburg Virginia to meet with my girl Shannon to have a fun celebratory University of Mary Washington senior session! It was gorgeous! Mother nature was a bit all over as we had to change some things around trying to stay ahead of the rain…. it kind of worked. Its sprinkled on and off throughout our entire session. Rain doesn’t automatically kill things though. I knew the University had plenty of overhang incase we needed to switch plans and find cover. Which, by the way, UMW is a gorgeous campus! I had never heard of the campus and seeing it in person gave me all the happy feels. Im fairly certain that Shannon and her bff Hannah thought I was crazy with how excited I was over certain areas of the campus.
We started things off in the center of campus at the Bell tower before making our way towards the main fountain and the old cafeteria building. It was starting to rain and the campus security guards, officer Joe, gave us a ride in the golf cart since he saw three girls carrying more stuff than we should have been carrying around campus. Thanks again officer Joe – or golf cart guy – whichever you prefer 😉 . Shannon made things entirely too easy on me. The girl is a beautiful and has such a kind heart. I had a blast exploring her stomping grounds and learning some about not just herself but her university. I wish I could shoot all of the senior sessions you guys! They make me happy and make things different. Its easy getting interaction out of families or couples because they have other people to play around with. So shooting seniors gets me out of my element and I love it! But enough of my usual ramblings, enjoy some of my many favorites of Shannon!
