This year, for the first time, I hosted summer mini sessions! I normally keep the minis for the spring and fall because lets face it, its HOT in the summer! I changed it up this year and ya know what, my summer minis felt like spring while one day of spring minis felt like the middle of July! What are the odds?
I released my summer mini info before I left for Iceland and had originally planned to announce any spots that were left unclaimed when I returned home… however, my broken ankle put a damper on that. I decided that the weekend of my minis would be my first weekend back to work after 3 months of being on bed rest and stuck in the house. Thankfully, I kept the minis small and never announced any open spots – go Candace for thinking ahead of time – and it worked out perfectly! I didn’t over work myself and everything came together beautifully!
My sweet friend Lindsey hand made the BEAUTIFUL macrame backdrop just for my minis and she even offered her help so that I was able to capture my families whole heartedly rather than very slowly, running around worry about my bag or my crutch, etc. Lets face it, Im walking and back in action but I am still fairly slow. Ya girl is definitely not running. So having her there to help me was so incredibly helpful, Ill never be able to fully repay this girl.
Now lets flash forward to Saturday! Its was go time and I WAS SO EXCITED! The weather was EVERYTHING and I arrived to the beautiful park that I had chosen for the minis and found the perfect opening in the woods for our back drop that really made it pop! I was even more excited to finally have this beautiful family back in front of my camera! Charley girl was still brewing away in her mommas tummy last time we saw each other! Now she’s nearly two years old and beautiful as can be. The girl has so much personality and the sweetest smile! It was the best way to kick off my weekend! Warning! This may be lengthy because they are the CUTEST!
