In true throwback fashion, Im throwing it back to this past weekend with Scott + Hannah! These two and their day! Where do I begin! Their wedding day was a long time coming! These two have been together for over 11 years! Yes. 11 long years and they met in the CUTEST way! Scott literally fell off of his bike right in front of Hannahs house and these two have been together ever since! They incorporated all of their favorite things into their photos. We shot their engagement session in their city, Baltimore, which is where they also live so it was a no brainer of course. These two are West Virginia Alumni too so their wedding was all blue and yellow in true mountaineer fashion.
Lets also take a second to appreciate the beauty of their venue as well! These two snagged one heck of a location. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is right on the bay in Saint Michaels over on the Eastern Shore and the water was was dotted with sail boats, even FLYING BOATS and these two were given the BEST SUNSET! We snuck away for a few intimate sunset portraits (which were allowed to get on one of the sail boats at the docks) but when we arrived back at the party, all of the guests were scattered along the yard watching the sunset. It was that good! That and I think we were all pretty baffled by the flying boats!
Now lets chat about some of my favorite parts of their wedding day. Their first look was adorable! I remember Hannah saying “is that a tear?” and sure enough, Scott let out a single tear. Something Hannah wasn’t expecting. I remember asking her if Scott was a crier and if my memory serves me right, she said shes hardly ever seen him cry. After we let Scott check out and love on his almost wife, we knocked out some bridal party + family portraits before the real party started. All of the guests were seated and it was time for Hannah to make her debut. Scott lost it! He was fighting back tears but the tears won and it was the sweetest. All of the girls started crying, Hannahs dad was crying. It was the sweetest moment to witness. So much emotion was shared this day. Especially during the reception. From Scott + Hannahs entrance when her brothers were all crying to the father/daughter dance where Hannahs dad couldn’t hide his love or his emotions down to the speeches. Just wait until you see! I was eating it up. I am SO pumped to share these with you guys! Congrats to the new Mr. + Mrs. Guenthers! Thanks for having Natalie and myself along for the ride. I trust you two are thoroughly enjoying your honeymoon, as you should =D
