Ohhh man you guys. Fall is in full force and I am FEELIN’ it! All the colors and life! But Im gonna throw some warmth your way and share JJ + Aprils beautiful Vizcaya Villa wedding down in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I had my buddy Kyle in tow with me to second shoot what I already knew was gonna be one heck of a party. And you guys, IT. DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. I love drunk wedding guests haha! So much fun and I guess it doesn’t hurt when you know half of them. April + JJ really outdid them selves here. Vizcaya Villa was a stunning backdrop for their wedding day and these two were given beautiful weather! It was a big humid but it didn’t rain and thats all that mattered! It was forecasted to rain all week long for their Saturday celebration and when the day arrived, it sprinkled a little bit and looked like it would be out of here just in time for the ceremony and it did just that! April wasn’t even worried about it because she said even if it were to rain during the ceremony, she would still be having her outdoor ceremony she had been dreaming of. A girl after to my own heart! April went to ECU so naturally you will find ECU’s colors all throughout their day. Purple is my new favorite fall color, even though the trees were still all kinds of green for their wedding day.
JJ + April had special touches throughout the entire day. They both read their vows to each other privately, instead of in front of their guests which was a sweet, intimate touch that I loved. They also exchanged gifts with each other and JJ snagged his girl her own personal rose. Just like the one from Beauty and the Beast, which is their thing – as you’ll see from their cake topper =D). It was such a sweet gift for his soon-to-be wife. April snagged her soon-to-be hubby a stunner of a watch but surprised him with a pair of Dragonfly socks which really tugged the heart strings for JJ. JJ’s family lost twin baby girls and the two dragonflies represent his twin sisters. April included JJ’s sisters throughout their wedding day. She saved them a seat at the ceremony and they were at the table with their mom. I may or may not have cried myself once JJ’s mom told me about their story and how she had no idea that April and JJ would include them within the wedding. It was the perfect touch. I loved everything about this day and I’d drive back down to Fayetteville in a heart beat to do it all over again! Thanks so much for inviting me down to celebrate with you guys! I love you both and wish you both unlimited years of happiness!
A big shout out to all of the vendors that helped bring everything together.
