Ahh, my favorite part of our entire trip. Pamela + Ivans wedding in Antigua. If you haven’t seen or heard of Antigua, Guatemala, then I am sorry for you. Because it is my favorite city in the entire world. Its gorgeous and is full of color, charm and history! Not to mention, Antigua is surrounded by volcanoes and and one point, it used to be the captial of Guatemala. The streets are cobblestone and the markets are full of texture and smells that are unique to this little side of the world.
I somehow managed to find one of the few airbnb options in Antigua that was literally, right next door to Pamela + Ivans wedding venue, Verde Eventos. Our host, John, was super chill and laid back and gave us full roam of his KILLER house! I mean, serious house envy and goals! We managed to find the house after one or two wrong turns and got our selves comfortable before heading to Monoloco’s for dinner with the family that was staying in Antigua. I had one of their famous “Big- ASS burritos” and yes, it was huge. and delicious. I annihilated that bad boy! It was a killer time!
Our little airbnb. You can’t tell whats hiding behind those walls.
Apparently, I only took photos of Michael and Emily this entire trip.
These two had beds but decided to sleep where the tv and Wifi was. haha. Got em!
I split the wedding festivities into two posts. Because I took ALOT of photos! It was so beautiful! I didn’t take too many of Pamela + Ivan as I was NOT going to step on their incredible photographers toes. But I was able to sneak in a few shots here and there. Let me tell you, the Guats party! In the US. most ceremonies are about 30-45 minutes and then the reception is usually about 4-5 hours. My cousins ceremony was about an hour or so and then they had a 10 HOUR RECEPTION! Im not sure how any of them were standing the next day!
It was such a beautiful wedding! LOTS of laughs and lots of tears!
The power couple making their entrance!
