I had the best time wandering around D.C. with Jerry (my new nickname for Jmo haha I also have JJ up my sleeve too. Ill save that for the wedding day ha! ) and Mandy. We spent the better part of our morning searching for parking near the D.C. War memorial and let me tell ya, you would be amazed at HOW many open parking spaces there are that you CANNOT park at before 8 or 9 am without getting a ticket! It’s pretty crazy. Anyhoo, after a round or two around Independence avenue, we made our way into the prettiest early morning light! Mandy looked amazingggg in her statement red gown and Jerry had the BEST tie ever! The light may make these seem nice and warm but these two trekked through some pretty chilly temps so we could capture some magic. So grateful! Not to mention, who likes waking up at 5:30am on a Saturday? Am I right?
We walked back to our car and made a few pit stops at some blossoms and the tidal basin before making our trek to Jones Point State Park in Alexandria. It was beautiful, but awfully windy! The lighthouse was a perfect spot for us to finish off their session. I could photograph the way these two are together all day. I told them multiple times but they are seriously so adorable. Most of my favorite shots are the after moments where they would just laugh or hug each other (likely to stay warm but still). Cannot wait for November!
Playing with that harsh light.
Could seriously photograph these two all day! Only a few more months until their wedding this fall!
