Happy Hump day you guys! Lets take it back to this weekend when I was making the trek down to Raleigh, North Carolina for a fun engagement session with JJ + April! We’ve had this day in the works for a little while now and I was super excited because we were greeted with beautiful weather and it was the first shoot I’ve had since January – hello beautiful off season month of February! It was a whopping 58 degrees with birds chirping, sun was shining and trees were beginning to bloom so needless to say, it was a perfect day for an engagement session. Im pretty jealous that Raleigh gets to enjoy Spring earlier than us SOMD folk but before I get way off topic, lets get back to these two babes!
I’ve known April for quite a few years now as we’ve gone to school together since middle school I believe, so it was nice getting to actually meet JJ in person. With these guys living two states away, we had to have our first “meeting” via the internet and while JJ was awesome then, he is even better in person. These two mesh together so well. They completely vibe off of each other and run with things and that made my day that much easier. And you guys! Lets take a second to admire how beautiful Aprils ring is. Kudos to JJ for snagging one hell of a rock! April and I decided on William B Umstead State Park which has a beautiful lake. Its funny because I joked that this park strangely reminded me of our local Gilbert Run State park. Boat rentals, trails that go on forever. It really was the perfect little nook for us to shoot within. We broke some rules and went off roading while also kicking kids out of a killer location – joking, they left of their own free will ha. These guys killed it and have me all kinds of pumped up for their wedding this fall! Enjoy just a small glimmer of their engagement photos. =D
