I love when a couple just meshes so well.  Not just together, but with myself.  When I first met Norah + James, I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding.  I am very picky with the weddings I take, I only take about 15-20 a year when most take about 30 or so.  So I always meet with my couples to ensure that our personalities mesh together!  As I tell my brides,  I am going to be with you during some of the most vulnerable times throughout your day, do you want me to be a complete and utter stranger that you know nothing about? No? My thoughts exactly!  So when it came time to meet with James and Norah and I saw how quirky they both were, I knew it was gonna be a hit!  Norah is a spunky little firecracker who fiery personality matches her beauty.  James is clearly enticed by her!  James on the other hand, is a jokester.  And Im awful with jokes so they were constantly going over my head haha!  Still gave me plenty of laughs though!

Getting these two to wrap up with each other and to snuggle the day away was a perfect way to break them in for their engagements!  Norah wanted to have their engagement sessions at a Christmas tree farm, and with my having my mini sessions at the best tree farm in town, I already knew where to take them!  John and Peggy own a BEAUTIFUL piece of land in Mechanicsville that is stocked with lush and full Christmas trees!  Not to mention, their land offers more than just tree views.   We started the day off with James in his dress blues because the man is a hunk of a sailor boy who looked extra handsome standing next to Norah. Though she stole the show, sorry James!  Her stunner of a red dress that she snagged from Rent the Runway was perfect for the location and they complimented each other so well! They made my job entirely too easy!  I love when my grooms get super excited to love on their girls for an hour or so.   I mean, just wait until you see how hot and heavy these two babes got!  If this is a slight tease for what I am in for on their wedding day, then bring. it. on! This is a doozy you guys, lots of favorites from our time together!
