This past weekend was one heck of a way to jump start the Spring wedding season.  What better way to kick it off than at the beautiful Woodlawn Farm in Ridge, MD with one of my favorite couples – Darryl and Stephanie!  Mother Nature gave us damn near perfect weather!  It was just a bit chilly being on the water but the sun was shining and the entire day went on without a hitch. I was even way ahead of schedule and had some time to let Darryl and Steph run off for a drink or two at cock tail hour.  Woodlawn is a favorite of mine so getting to kick things off here was a plus in my book, side note, my next wedding this weekend is there too!  All around winning for me.

Stephanie and Darryl had the perfect touches to their wedding day.  Lots of soft pinks and whites,  which is a clean and classic touch.  And they also threw a LOT of emotion my way too.  Darryl LOST IT for their blind first look.  I found the perfect door that had the perfect light for these two.  Darryl had a hand written letter for his girl and the anxiousness and love he has for her shook him up.  The moment he took the door knob and opened the door, he started weeping.  Im not sure how I kept it together myself.   The love this man has for his girl, its what we all want in a relationship. I am so happy I was able to capture such an intimate moment for them.  He gave us a round two for their ceremony, the moment he turned around and saw his girl coming for him, yep.  The reaction every bride wants to see. I especially love how much their involved Darryls son Austin.  He received his own vows from Stephanie and he even surprises Steph with his own first dance.  It was the SWEETEST.  I also must note how well behaved and well mannered Austin is. From the first time I met him at our consult all the way to the wedding day, he was the best little man ever.  It was an honor getting to witness every step of Darryl and Stephanie’s wedding day and while I sit here at my desk, looking outside to a wet and gloomy day, these two are in Mexico enjoying living it up on their honeymoon.  I hope they find a minute or two of wifi tonight so they can relive their wedding all over again.  Enjoy just a small glimpse into their beautiful wedding day.
